Haysville Optimist Allan Cooley Memorial Scholarship

This scholarship was established to benefit a graduating senior of the Haysville School Dist. who intends to continue his/her education at a post-secondary level in an accredited vocational or technical training program. A committee of Optimist Club Members reviews the applications received. The scholarship is awarded at the sole discretion of the Haysville Optimist Club, and the club's decision is final. This is a one-year, non-renewable, scholarship of up to $2,000. It is payable directly to the institution, or, upon acceptable proof of expenditure, reimbursement may be made directly to the student. Emphasis is placed on evidence of potential success (initiative), rationale for career field selection (career objectives), and financial need. The recipient of the scholarship is contacted and invited to attend an award dinner. The scholarship winner is asked to share his or her aspirations at the dinner, and is appropriately recognized by the Haysville Optimist Club. We take pride in being able to support continuing education on the local level.
